Our
aim is to rescue and and re-home unwanted, neglected and stray animals.
We take in any kind of animal that is in need, from hamsters to horses.
At present we are caring for over a hundred animals, and there are
many more waiting to come to us.
All cats and dogs in our care are spayed or neutered before they are
re-homed. In the case of those that are too young to be treated before
they leave us, we undertake follow-up checks to ensure that they have
been spayed/neutered when old enough. We have a strict re-homing policy
and we always follow up our animals after they have joined their new
family.
No animal is ever put to sleep, unless on our vet's advice and hundreds
have been re-homed. The Sanctuary is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers
and relies on donations from the public.
Easterleigh is open to the public 6 days a week and we receive over
300 visitors in an average month. Donations from these visitors and
local supporters are currently Easterleigh's sole form of income and
allow us to do our valuable work and to contribute to our local community.
