Frequently Asked Questions
Do you always do home checks?
For local re-homing, yes certainly. It is crucial for match our furry friends to their perfect forever home

Do you re-home outside the Fylde?
Yes. Because we won't be able to get out for a homecheck in person we ask for a vet reference and proof of ID and your current address. Pictures of your property are also useful.

How much must I pay for an animal?
We ask for a minimum donation of £130 for a dog and £60 for cats.

Do you rehome to homes with children?
Unfortunately ,it would be very irresponsible of us to rehome adult dogs with young children. We will not rehome an adult dog to a home with children under the age of 7. However, we would consider rehoming young puppies to these homes as the dog would grow with the children.

Will the animal I adopt from you be neutered?
All animals from Easterleigh are neutered/spayed or are booked in upon leaving us. Puppies and kittens too young to be spayed must be done by the new owner as part of the adoption contract.

What if I want to breed my pet?
As a Sanctuary whose primary objective is to rescue unwanted animals we cannot and do not condone actively breeding. Obviously if no-one ever bred any dogs or cats again there would be no companion animals at all, however since we are so very, VERY far from that scenario we feel it is perfectly reasonable to insist that any pets we re-home are neutered.

Do you re-home horses?
No our horses are exclusively here for permanent retirement, be that due to age or health issues.

Where are you based?
We are currently in private kennels. However, watch this space for exciting news!!
